Today, on International Women’s Day, let us remember the strength of the women who, in the Scriptures, changed history.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength of all the women who, in the Scriptures, changed the course of history. Jochebed, Miriam, and Pharaoh’s daughter initiated the liberation of the Hebrew people. Sarah upheld the promise. Esther risked her life to save her people. Ruth, Huldah, the prophetic voice, was responsible for the spiritual reform of her time. Mary, the mother of Jesus, said “yes” to the impossible, and Mary Magdalene was the first witness of the resurrection. With the understanding brought by the Sealed Book of Mormon, translated by Maurício Berger, we understand that God works in us through our feelings. Feeling is a divine gift, and, with courage, we must use this gift to serve and love God and make history. May we be inspired today by the women of the Scriptures and, with faith and sensitivity, be part of God’s plan.
