As soon as the appearance of the Sealed Book of Mormon Plates was publicized, through the mouth of Joseph Fredrick Smith, great-grandson of Joseph Smith Jr., the founder of Mormonism in the 19th century, was come along with other American witnesses from Missouri (D&C 58:13) to Brazil, in March 2018, coming from different branches of Mormonism, in order to examine and testify to the world about the reappearance of the gold plates and of seer stones that were used in the translation of the Book of Mormon, and that now in the 21th century, were again in possession of a new seer, also visited by the angel Moroni, to translate the sealed portion of the plates.
Such events made many who verified these facts adhere to this “So Noble Cause”. Thus, it became inevitable for some Latter-day Saints to join this institution that was born in Brazil, called “Zion Project”, whose purpose of existence is to include all the organizations of the Authentic Restored Gospel: the Church, the United Order and the Female Fountain of Living Waters society (in the 19th century, called Relief Society) and which, together, should exist for the edification of Zion; but because they treated lightly “The Book of Mormon and the commandments” (D&C 84:54-60) which the Lord had given them in the early days of the Restoration, the church as a whole fell into apostasy, and this work, called ” Second Invitation,” fulfill the prophecy described in Doctrine and Covenants 1:30, “and bring her out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth.”
With this, many who are gaining testimony of the authenticity of this work join this “Most Noble Cause”, continuing the Restoration of the gospel, in order to recover, as a church (D&C 10:67), the true precepts of Mormonism, such as they were restored by Joseph Smith Jr. in its early days, which is why we call ourselves the “Church of Christ,” currently presided over by Patriarch Samuel Shule Gould, also a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, as was Hyrum Smith in the 19th century (D&C 124:91-95).
