It is with great joy that we participate in the ordinance and promise to “The Rescue of the True Sacrament” for the faithful as “the sacrament is considered the most sacred of my church’s restored ordinances in this last dispensation” (RDSI 1:88). It is therefore imperative that the Second Invitation covenant members fully qualify themselves in understanding the depth and breadth of the counsel embedded in the instructions provided in the June Issue of the Echoes of Restoration in preparation for this continuous celebration of the monthly sacrament ordinance:
Preparation for the celebration of the true sacrament will begin next month, precisely on July 6, 2025, as revealed in order to establish the foundations on which the spiritual foundations of the Church of Christ will be established. It will be restricted to those who demonstrate continued fidelity to tithing and constant observance of the Lord’s Day throughout a full year, until July 4, 2026, when they will be recognized as true worshipers who serve Him in spirit and in truth. — If you wish to take part in this restored ordinance, your preparation must begin now. The invitation will be extended, month after month, only to those who, from this moment on, demonstrate unrestricted fidelity to these two laws, under the supervision of Brother Joni and his counselors in the apostolate — who, after previously informing themselves with the tithing committees in Brazil and the United States, will identify those who comply with this principle of consecration. As for the sanctification of Sunday, this will be left to the conscience of each participant as a preparatory step for the future full observance of the Sabbath, to be reintroduced within the Second Invitation on the occasion of the conference on July 4, 2026 (paragraph 9, “The Rescue of the True Sacrament”, Echoes of Restoration, June Issue 2025).
Note: In accordance with D&C 59:9-12, those faithful families, groups and congregations that are currently practicing a weekly sacrament ordinance should continue without interruption.
