Beloved brothers and sisters, it is with great joy that I come to you to share my impressions and experiences living in the Refuge of Zion – South Unit, Agudo – RS, Brazil, through a few simple words, which I hope can convey with intensity the great love that I have for this very special place shown by the Lord through his living prophet on earth, Maurício Artur Berger.
Since the Lord revealed in May 2022 that it would be necessary to lease a small site, and that it would serve as the beginning of the United Order, and in this place that those who would build the Places of Refuge would be prepared, a feeling that I can hardly describe began to burn within me. I felt the desire to be a part of it. I wanted to have the opportunity to be together and help so that this place would be built and the Father’s will would be fulfilled, knowing also through the teachings given by the prophet that this place will shelter our beloved brothers and sisters when the great desolation arrives in the lands of the North.
When the first opportunity arose to go there, the desire once again took hold of my heart. From the preparations for the trip to the moment of arrival, the eagerness to get there took over. How wonderful it was to arrive in the city! All the wonderful moments lived there began to be relived, to be once again at the foot of Mount Agudo where we had such special experiences; there is nothing better, and on arriving at the Refuge property the feeling of entering a place that was shown by Heavenly Father himself is something indescribable.
Since we first arrived there, a lot has already been done. Many hours of work have been spent in fulfilling the will of heaven and making that place the way the Father envisioned. How wonderful it is every day there, waking up in a true paradise on earth to the sound of birds and other animals, and then preparing ourselves so that before starting our daily activities, we are instructed by the heavens through the Holy Scriptures. The Lord daily instructs us in the correct way in which we should follow; He shows us the path and the way it is to be followed. Through the scriptures He answers our personal doubts, shows us how to act and how to do His work, and also warns us, correcting us and showing us what we should change.
We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to be part of this important moment in history, to unite in mind, heart and purpose to fulfill what the Father asks of us. We have the great mission of building a spiritual temple in this place, uniting us like living stones that are daily cut, polished and honed with the purpose of fitting perfectly into the house of God.
Throughout the days, whether when welcoming people who visit the Place of Refuge or when we go to the city to carry out some necessary tasks there, it is possible to feel the warm love from the local people and the wonderful reception with which we are received. The small city of Agudo becomes giant through its welcome. This city was definitely prepared by the heavens for this moment.
The community in general has become one big family and this is wonderful, so much so that when we return home and enjoy spending time with our families, we already feel the desire to be there again.
I can’t forget to mention here how wonderful the moments are when we go out to admire the night sky at the Refuge. I don’t know of any other place where there is such a magnificent sky. It’s the most beautiful and starry sky I’ve ever seen, and not only its natural beauty, but we are also graced to observe the celestial ships that cross from one side to the other; there are also those that slow down as they pass over the property, looking as if they are also admiring the property consecrated to God, and there are those that seem to be communicating through flashes of light. It’s all really enchanting.
It is something extraordinary to be in the Place of Refuge, spending time with the Prophet and the other brothers. Every day is a new and exciting day, full of teachings and new learning.
How wonderful it is to see my son telling others about the work I’m doing; through the example he sets I can see how important and motivating it is for him. How special it is to hear him ask me every time I arrive home how things are going there, what is being done, and my son saying that he also really wants to be there helping, according to him—helping to build bridges….
